- Dawson playing with a truck
Dawson is doing so well in the last few months, He continues to develop more skills in communication and understanding. There was a time in our life not to long ago where we could not figure out what Dawson needed or wanted; now through aba and his special education teacher at school we are able to make incredible progress towards Dawson’ s development. Here are some examples: Dawson now can identify his head, feet, arms, nose, ears, eyes, mouth. He can pick out from a group of objects a ball, car, crayon, cup, bowl, bubbles, sock, fork, etc… He is also fully potty trained and goes to the bathroom on his own!!!
I do not get the opportunity to thank all the people in my
church who are so generous in
helping with Dawson’ s therapy so I would like to say this, If it were not for each of you Dawson would not be were he is today. There are obstacles to overcome as he is completely non-verbal and has been diagnosed with severe autism, however we see so many improvements in his development. Thank you God for you faithfulness and your hand upon his life.
Several of you have asked me how you can help? We have set up a way for people to
give to Dawson’s expenses and therapies through our church with
paypal. Each gift is a
tax deduction and is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions let me know and
Thank you.

Jody, you and Ruth are an inspiration to me every time I think about what you guys are going through. I guess “going through” is not really what I mean because I know that you guys are just being great parents. I don’t know how I would have reacted if I was in your position, hopefully the same way you do, but I do know that you and Ruth are one of the finest examples of parents that I can imagine. I pray for you guys daily and KNOW that our God is going to bless you beyond your imagination in His Kingdom.
